The Organising Committee of the VIII World Tribology Congress (WTC 2025) has decided to postpone the deadline for the submission of extended abstracts to January 31, 2026.

We look forward to welcoming you to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from September 20 to 25, 2026, for a conference featuring insightful discussions, innovative research, and valuable networking opportunities. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Brazil’s second-largest centre of research and development, Rio offers a dynamic blend of history and innovation, from its natural landscapes to its vibrant academic and technological communities. Attendees will find ample opportunities to engage with both the city’s renowned landmarks and its thriving research ecosystem, fostering both educational and cultural inspiration.
